Barcelona’s midfielder Denis Suarez seems to be determined to complete the switch to the Emirates after talks with Arsenal boss Unai Emery, according to FootballTALK.
With the transfer window still open and managers attempting to strengthen their teams, the Gunners boss who has been looking to strengthen his options for the second half of the season has been strongly linked with the Spanish midfielder.
According to reports, the Gunners have stated that they will only be able to sign players on loan on loan this January.
Barcelona however are reluctant to agree to loan Suarez, and are looking to secure a more permanent arrangement which would either come as a straight sale or a loan with a mandatory fee at the end of the season, as they look to balance their books after their big outlay to bring in Frankie de Jong from Ajax.
The 25 year old who is also a target for Sevilla and Real Betis, has insisted on joining only Arsenal even if it means been frozen out of the squad for the rest of the season.
It is however unfortunate that both clubs have refused to reach an agreement even with the player very eager to move as the Gunners are insistent on an option to buy rather than an obligation to buy clause.
Suarez has 18 months left of his contract with Barcelona with his value most likely to drop by summer, hence the push to get a more permanent deal for him.
Arsenal looking to strengthen their midfield by all means, and are also currently in talks with Paris Saint Germain for their French midfielder Christopher Nkunku
