Arsenal are in talks to sign Belgian winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco from Chinese side Dalian Yifang, according to Sky Sport.
The Gunners are in need of reinforcement this January and have been looking to bring in midfielders, with an agreement already reached to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona.
However they are still in need of a winger as Unai Emery himself admitted recently when asked about Denis Suarez deal “Generally speaking, we need wingers.” He said.
While Suarez can also play on the flanks, he is not an out and out winger, which is what the Gunners attack truly needs, and based on that they have turned to the 25-year old Belgian winger after seeing their attempt to sign another winger Ivan Perisic turned back.
The Gunners made an offer to take Perisic on loan with an option to buy in the summer, but Inter Milan turned the offer down forcing them to look elsewhere.
They have now opened talks with Dailian Yifang for their winger in what could possibly be a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Carrasco moved to Dailian from Atletico last year February and has gone on to score seven goals in 26 appearances for the Chinese side.
He was also part of the Belgian national side that finished third in the last World Cup, and he has scored five times in 34 international caps.
