Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has all but confirmed Denis Suarez transfer by sending a message to the midfielder ahead of his loan move to Arsenal, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 25-year old midfielder is set to join the Gunners for the rest of the season after both clubs finally reached an agreement on a £2.2 million loan fee following previous breakdown in talks between the sides.
Should the loan spell be successful, the Gunners could make the deal permanent in the summer for around £20 million.
Both sides are yet to officially announce the move though Ernesto Valverde had earlier confirmed that an agreement had been reached.
Luis Suarez took to social media to wish his teammate well on his move posting a picture of the both of them with a caption “Good luck little Galician in this new challenge”
By joining Arsenal Suarez will be linking up with his former manager Unai Emery. The duo worked together when he spent time on loan at Sevilla and seem to have mutual admiration for each other.
The transfer is expected to be made official any time soon and Emery has already explained what he will add to the squad.
He said “Generally speaking, we need wingers. And if you have a player like Denis, I know him because he played for me at Sevilla. His quality is this.”
