David Orstein has revealed that Arsenal are still looking to sign a winger after completing the signing of Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, according to BBC Sport.
The Gunners have finally reached an agreement to sign Ceballos on loan after a protracted transfer battle which culminated in the 23-year old signing a contract extension with Madrid before being allowed to complete the loan move.
BBC Sport journalist Orstein while confirming the deal also revealed that Arsenal are still looking to add one more signing to add to the squad this summer.
He believes Ivan Perisic and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco are the two targets the Gunners are looking at, with Perisic seeming the most likely to be signed.
Inter Milan are open to letting the Croatian winger leave on loan, but the stumbling block once again is the fact that they want an obligation to buy while Arsenal want an option to buy.
Carrasco on the other hand moved to China last year from Atletico Madrid and currently earns a large wage, one that the Gunners would be unlikely to match.
Added to the fact that they’ll have to pay a fee which would see Dalian Yifang recoup some of the transfer fee they paid for him. All these seem unlikely in Arsenal’s current financial state.
Surprising though is the fact that the club does not seem to have plans of bringing in a defender despite having five defenders currently out injured, with Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin both for several months.
