Arsenal and Chelsea are set to miss out on 19-year-old Francisco Trincao after Braga invited Napoli for talks over the forward, according to Insidefutbol.
The Portuguese youngster who plays for the Braga’s B team has impressed several scouts with his performances this season and is currently being targeted by a number of top clubs across Europe.
Reports have it that Arsenal and Chelsea have been keeping a close watch on the youngster. It has also been claimed that Juventus has been in talks with Braga to determine the possibility of a deal for the forward.
The €15m rated player has made a total of seven appearances in the Portugal’s second division. He has also performed excellently in the Portugal’s u19 team in which he has made 13 appearances and scored a total of 7 goals.
Arsenal coach Unai Emery is looking to recruit more young talents and has sent scouts to watch the striker according to reports on Daily Mail, and even with the clubs poor finance, it is believed that Trincao would be a bargain buy.
Chelsea on the other hand are currently serving a transfer ban which will likely see them miss out on the signing of the youngster.
It would come as a surprise should Arsenal pursue the deal given that Trinaco doesn’t come across as a winger ready for first team at a top club yet.
And the Gunners on their part have a number of young talented wingers with the likes of Riess Nelson who impressed last season in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim and the duo of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe impressing for the first team in their brief appearances this season.
