Chelsea play host to AFC Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge in match-day 17 of the 2019/20 Premier League season.
Blues boss Frank Lampard confirmed in his pre-match press conference that defender Fikayo Tomori will miss the clash against the Cherries with a hip problem.
But the interim boss will have the boost of Antonio Rudiger who recently returned from injury and was an assured presence against Lille on Tuesday.
Although the likes of Kurt Zouma, Reece James, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson Palmieri remain fit and available options.
Lampard also gave hints on his plans to freshen up things in the midfield ahead of the busy festive period.
This would likely see players like Mason Mount make the starting lineup after being rested for the Champions League clash against Lille, leaving any of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in line to make up the rest of the midfield. Although, Ross Barkley is also a fresher option.
Further forward, the attacking pair of Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic looks a banker to start after being withdrawn early on Tuesday night in France with an eye for this weekends clash.
Although Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi are fresher alternatives for Lampard should he decide to rest any of Willian or Pulisic.
Olivier Giroud (knock) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles) remain out.
Predicted lineup [4-2-3-1]
Kepa, James, Christensen, Zouma, Emerson; Jorginho, Kovacic; Willian, Mount, Puliic; Abraham.
